Michael brings more than 15 years of strategic communications experience advising senior leaders and organizations, managing high-profile engagements, and navigating complex issues across the private sector and the intelligence community.
Driven by a desire to serve the nation and contribute to mission-critical work, Michael most recently spent more than five years at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where he led executive engagements and outreach for the DNI and Deputy DNI. In this role, he directed a team of speechwriters and public affairs professionals and expanded the organization's public messaging and audience reach nationwide. He also served as a spokesperson for the agency on sensitive national security issues — including the rollout of major intelligence community reports.
Prior to his service in government, Michael built his career in the private sector advising and supporting clients across trade associations, non-profits, corporations, and the diplomatic community on strategic communications, executive positioning, and reputation management. He was also an invited guest speaker at American University's School of Public Affairs.
A native of Upstate New York, Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree from Hobart College and an MBA from George Mason University. He lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife, two sons, and their energetic dog, Monroe.
