Steer PR adds intelligence community and foreign service alum Michael Hinkle

Steer PR, a strategic communications and critical issues advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Hinkle as Director.

Michael comes to Steer with more than a decade of experience in the intelligence and foreign service communities, having served in critical public affairs and strategic communications roles with the Central Intelligence Agency, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, and as a foreign service officer at the U.S. Department of State. At Steer, he will lean heavily on that expertise to advance the communications priorities of the firm’s clients, specifically as they align to vital national security and foreign policy issues.

“We are thrilled to have Michael on the team,” said Brittany Bramell Punaro, co-founder and partner at Steer PR. “He brings invaluable, hands-on experience navigating complex issue areas that our clients are operating in. He is a welcomed addition to our growing firm.”

“As U.S. companies continue to grapple with a challenging geopolitical landscape, it is vital they have access to knowledgeable communicators who know how the national security community thinks about these issues,” said Lauren Tomlinson, co-founder and partner at Steer PR. “Michael’s public affairs experience, particularly in satellite imagery, is timely and relevant as companies partner with the government to expand our space presence.”
